TDA4VM: Decryption over head while booting

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hello ,

I want to know if the images for each core stored encrypted , what's the time overhead needed to decrypt the image within the BMGR context .

  • HI Ahmed

Currently we don't have those number, but its also depend on the size of the image.

In normal SDK boot flow with prebuild images  we don't encrypt any other images apart from TIFS on HS device

  • Hi Diwakar

Ok , let me understand more fro you is it something done by R5f or it will done by TIFS so it shouldn't put over head on the booting processor except waiting the decryption happend ,if so what's the rate that TIFS decrypt the image with it .

Authentication and the Decryption is done by the TIFS using hardware crypto accelerator during booting.

Currently we don't have a number for the decryption but it depends on the size of the encrypted image larger the image size more is the time to decrypt the image.
