It has stepwise instructions on creating image classification and object detection projects. We would recommend to try out sample OD or OC style project first and then gradually you can migrate to custom project that you are looking for.

Yes, am suggesting that you should understand your use case first, and check is this problem can be solved using standard object detection method, if yes please go ahead and use the tools we provide.

Also these are general deep learning specific questions, please let us know if you have any issue while using TI's tools.
