In the meta-ti layer all flavors of PowerVR are dependent on X11. Is there a build of PowerVR artifacts that is not dependent on X11?
This is for Automotive Grade Linux (AGL) which is X11-Free.

Hello,
I'm looking into this with our development team and will come back to you soon.
This change was introduced in SDK 9.0 for wider compatibility, but my guess is it is a dependency that can be removed.

Erick
Hello Joel,
Currently you could drop X11 from the build. Unfortunately there is a dependency on X11 for Vulkan. If you drop Vulkan as a distro feature, you will also automatically remove the x dependency.
Please let me know if that works for you.

Erick
I see. The preference is Vulkan, but not a hard requirement for our current use case. Vulkan will be a hard requirement soon. What is the timeline for removing the Vulkan X11 dependency?
Joel,
In the future, this will be supported. But currently it is has not been defined in our roadmap, so there is no timeline for this feature.

Erick
