TDA4VM: DSI convert to HDMI

This bridge is not supported in the SDK. You would need to add support for it and check the output.

      We found SK-TDA4VM have a HDMI port, and the bridge is TFP410. We want to refer to it, but there is no information on hdmi in k3-j721e-sk.dts/k3-j721e.dtsi/k3-j721e-main.dtsi. So we want to know how is the TFP410 driven?

Hi zhang,

TFP410 does not require any configuration. Its DPI to HDMI convertor and It just works based on the input signal received. This is probably where is not any driver and/or dtsi file changes for this module.

        Considering that TFP410 takes up too many pins, we did not use it. Could you recommend a codec with HDMI?

       In addition, we use the DP to HDMI adapter in the TDA4EVM, it doesn't work. it works  in my PC, so the adapter is ok. What do we need to do to make it work？

Hi Zhang,

It takes so many pins, because it supports DPI input. This requires RGB24bit and sync signals to work..

For DP to HDMI adaptor, please use Active adaptor, it works fine on EVM.
