DM368 EVM Audio Output Level/Volume

I am using a couple of loopbacks for audio but I can't seem to get a very strong audio signal from the EVM from either the line out or the HP out.   I tried gst-launch -v alsasrc ! volume volume=10 ! alsasink sync=false.  But the it only has over powering the audio signal but didn't really increase the volume.  The volume coming form the output has been very soft.

    As we started working through the problem a colleague suggested to use the alsamixer.  It allows you to modify the input values and the output levels of volume.  It doesn't get saved from one reboot to the next but at least it works.
