AM69A: How to use SysConfig to determine which ports support XFI

Part Number: AM69A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM69, SYSCONFIG

I believe that the CPSW9X supports a limited number of XFI ports. However, I find I can only set an SGMII port type.

How do I set XFI as a port type and then determine how many instances of XFI and which pins I can use?

Best regards,

Tim

  • Hi,

Yes, CPSW9X in AM69 supports limited number of ZFI ports which are Port-1, Port-2. Only these two ports supports XFI/USXGMII modes.

How do I set XFI as a port type and then determine how many instances of XFI and which pins I can use?

Serial interfaces supported via SerDes, the pins will be common for the any of serial interface as shown below.

For more details about SerDes instances and supported interfaces, please refer to TRM and below image.

In above SerDes Image, Lane2 corresponding to Port-1, Lane3 corresponding to Port-2 for XFI/USXGMII/QSGMII/SGMII interface.

Which pins to be used and how many instances of interface to be used can be configured while configuration of SerDes, not from sysconfig tool.

    Best Regards,

  • Hello Sudheer,

Thank you for your answer. I'll use the TRM to determine the functionality, per your images.
