Hi Peng,

The memory view in the DCC Tuning Tool is intended to only read and write sensor registers. Specifically, only the IMX390 is supported in the EdgeAI SDK.

Hi Peng,

The Tuning Tool includes various features, however, the sensor register read/write feature is limited to only the IMX390 in the EdgeAI SDK. All other features support all other sensors.

Some other sensors supported:

IMX390 (via Fusion board)
IMX219
OV2312

We have added a new driver of OVX5B sensor to AM62A EdgeAI SDK. If we plan to add the sensor register read/write feature to the driver, which part of codes should we revise? Could you please give us some hints?

Hi Hua,

There are two ways to be able to read/write to sensor registers.

DCC Tuning Tool
1. https://git.ti.com/cgit/processor-sdk/imaging/tree/utils/itt_server/src/itt_ctrl_handle_sensor.c?h=main#n72
2. The above file at lines 71 and 72 should be enough to enable this feature on a new sensor
Linux I2C Utility Commands
1. Use the following script https://git.ti.com/cgit/glsdk/util-scripts/tree/debug/ovcam.sh
2. Modify line 20 to for the correct I2C bus
3. and line 21 for the correct device address/ID
4. save and run
