LP-MSPM0G3507: CCS Theia SDK Fail Installation

Part Number: LP-MSPM0G3507
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi team,

My customer is starting to evaluate LP-MSPM0G3507 but they could not start a new project using CCS Theia.

We have also tried and we have the same error messages.

Do you have suggestions for us on how to clear this issue ?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Kenley

  • Hi Kenley,

For the MSPM0 SDK and Sysconfig can be installed separately through the below link.

    https://www.ti.com/tool/MSPM0-SDK?keyMatch=MSPM0SDK

    https://www.ti.com/tool/SYSCONFIG

I am not sure where to install the ARM GNU toolchain. I think it can be installed during the CCS theia installation process.  I think you can ask the CCS tools team about how to install this ARM GNU toochain.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Cash,

    Thank you for the support.

How do we connect the sysconfig to CCS Theia ?

If customer need to install manually and connect it then please give the instructions.

For the SDK also, there is no instruction on how to connect it in CCS Theia.

I think it is better to give some instructions for customer for better user experience.

    Best regards,

    Kenley

  • Hi Kenley,

It should detect the installation automatically.

In my PC, I have already installed the latest SDK and Sysconfig in the default path. Then I just directly installed the CCS Theia. During the installation, there is one Setup components needed to be installed, shown in the below figure.

After the installation finished, I try to build the project following the MSPM0 SDK QuickStart Guide for CCS Theia which locates in the SDK installation path. Use this one for example. C:\ti\mspm0_sdk_1_20_00_05\docs\english\quickstart_guides

I did not get any notices let tell me to install the SDK, Sysconfig and ARM GNU toolchain. The project can easily be built without any issues.

    Best regards,

    Cash Hao

  • Hi Cash,

    Thank you.

But we have tried and it seems like the installation is not detected automatically.

Anyway, we will guide customer on how to install it manually.

    Regards,

    Kenley
