Dear Team,

One of my customers is following TIDA-00942 to design high speed current sampling circuits, the TIDA-00942 is parallel CMOS output of the ADC, I searched on E2E forum and ti.com, but found nothing corresponding with this CASE, could you please help to provide the original code for the parallel data capture? Thanks a lot.

Let me check to see if I can find the PRU firmware for you that was developed alongside that TI design.

In the meantime, you can see a similar project (with a VERY good design guide that does a good job of introducing the software) here:

Hi Nick,

TIDA-01555 is not the same with TIDA-00942, it's SPI serial interface. However, TIDA-00942 is Parallel CMOS or LVDS Interface, do you have parallel interface use case?

Hello Shengyue,

Yes, the specifics of the information coming in and out of the PRU GPI / PRU GPO signals is different. But you are probably not going to be able to just copy paste the code into your design and have everything work perfectly. I would imagine you will have to make some small changes at minimum, and then the other TI design I pointed you to could be helpful when trying to understand the code and how you might try to change it.

I am still searching for the TIDA-00942 code. Feel free to ping the thread if I have not responded by the middle of next week.

Thanks Nick, I know that code needs to be change for the final usage, but as it's urgency, the code close to this case would be really helpful and save time for customer.

Understood. As a partial update, the engineer who wrote the code has retired, and so far nobody I have talked to has anything other than hardware design files on their computers. I have at least one more person to ask, and I'll provide an update next week.

Hello Shengyue,

I found the code, attached here:

The engineer who provided it to me wanted to stress that this is demo code, and the code is probably not production-ready.

They said that later firmware for reading ADCs, like the TIDA-01555 code linked above, or the AM64x PRU_ICSSG code here, might be more optimized to run more quickly.
