Using McASP as McBSP for non audio data in TMS320C6748/OMAP L1x processor

Hi,

Can i configure the McASP port in TMS320C6748 as McBSP port ?? I need clarification for the following items :

1. Can the McASP be configured for independent clock & frame sync for both transmit and receive ?

2. Can the Clock and Frame Sync signals be derived by dividing down the internal CPU clock (i.e., can these signals be generated internally without the need for any external   device to generate the clock and frame sync singals) ?

3. Can we achieve a data transfer speed greater than 2Mhz. ?

4. Can the data transfer be elemental configurable ? (means can we configure the data element's size to be 8bits / 16bits) ?

5. Can we acess the McASP through EDMA ?
