connecting two EVM6678l CARDS using the AMC interface

We would like to connect two EVM6678l CARDS using the AMC interface in order to realize the SRIO communications between the two cards. Is there a product that we may purchase (aside from a switch which is expensive ) in order to make this connection ?

You can get an AMC-to-SMA breakout card for each EVM and then cable them together. It would be something similar to:

I'm not sure of the pricing on this card, they can get expensive because the SMA connectors are expensive. This particular board has everything from the AMC accessible, if you are just trying to access SRIO, you can probably get a much cheaper one built. Remember our EVMs SRIO pinout on the AMC is compatible with the SCOPE pinout, as this may affect your breakout card choice.

The other option is to go with a uTCA chassis like Elma Blu!, but that route will be more expensive.

Just found out that we will be releasing a AMC breakout card that allows you to connect two EVMs directly. Essentially it has two AMC sockets on it with connections between the RX/TX for the various interfaces. See the attached PDF. This is being worked now and will probably be available in the TIeStore in around 4-6 weeks if you can hold off until then.
