DLR is a feature in EtherNet/IP industrial protocol. Industrial device (adapter in EtherNet/IP) side protocols are supported in RTOS, not in Linux. SDK is version 6.3 in maintenance mode. We recommend take a look at https://www.ti.com/product/AM6442 and https://www.ti.com/product/AM2434 families for new designs.

What if we want to integrate it in Linux from RTOS.  Or whether we can migrate the code from AM2434 or AM6442 then please share the procedure for the same since due to lack of support in case of RTOS by TI we shifted to Linux from RTOS. Now it is on priority for us and so we need to verify and migrated in fast mode.

I have gone through the link you shared. It seems like it supports only for TI RTOS and not RT Linux. Also I would like to understand that whether we can use the same to integrate in the RT Linux code if it is possible.

There it also has the Linux Installer named "PRU-ICSS-EthernetIP_Adapter-01.00.04.11-Linux-x86-Install.bin". Is it for the RT Linux? please confirm.

I downloaded the link and going through its implementation. Also able to compile it as well using the README.md document. But not able to understand how to integrate the code compiled in the RT Linux application.

Can you please guide me in case whether we should go for the one shared by you by using the PRU-ICSS-EthernetIP adapter code or with the one share by Pekka.

Please revert since it is on higher priority since we need to verify and integrate with the running application.

Also regarding your suggestion we have already completed phase1 and 2 of our application on AM4376 with RT linux and now we are stuck due to this issue.

So let me know if we can do the implementation as Pekka says in his previous response. Is there any sample or example for reference so that we can use for development of this feature .

As stated earlier we do not offer Linux EtherNet/IP stack or example, nor a standalone DLR. The TI offering is only RTOS (see 1.0.4 release uses the PROCESSOR-SDK-RTOS 06_03_00_106 for AM335x and AM437x families in the SDK documentation) for the low level with the EtherNet/IP stack from TMG running on the TI RTOS Cortex A9.

Implementing EtherNet/IP and DLR in Linux is something you have to investigate yourself. Technically at something like 1ms or slower cycle time it is probably possible, but we don't have any examples of this.
