TDA4VL-Q1: Can we use WKUP_OSC0 for McASP?

Hi expert

Our customer has used 2 24M crystal for WKUP_OSC0 and OSC1. Now they want to cost down and save one crystal. Can they remove the crystal of OSC1 and use WKUP_OSC0 for the whole system (including the McASP)? Is it supported for the HW and SW? Thanks

Only WKUP_OSC0 is required for processor. OSC1 is optional, and only needed if 2nd clock source is required for backup or specific frequencies not available using WKUP_OSC0.

Yes - WKUP_OSC0 can drive the clock for McASP.
