Asking on behalf of a customer:
We are using TI AM6232ASGGHAALW and we would like to get some advices on how to configure the UART Clock to 3.125Mhz. The default clock source frequency to UART0/1/6 are 48Mhz and the divider needs to be in integer, hence by using default clock frequency (48Mhz), we can’t get exactly 3.125Mhz due to the chip only support integer divider. 48Mhz/15=3.2Mhz or 48Mhz/16=3Mhz. From the TI sysconfig, we seems able to change the clock source for the UART to 12.5Mhz instead of 48Mhz, I know it will impact other peripherals, but we would like to know if it’s feasible to change the frequency like below for our processor to get 3.125Mhz for UART?
