connecting C6713 EMIF to C6713 HPI

Hi. I am working with two C6713, one as a transmiter an the other as a receiver. I want to connect  the EMIF of one to the HPI of the other, but don't know how?

I dont know how to exactly  connect the pins and how to get started.

I would be happy if any one could help me.

  • To search TI C6000 Application Notes for useful product ideas:

    1. Go to TI.com
    2. In the center of the TI Home Page, click on Technical Documents
    3. Product Group = DSP & ARM
    4. Sub-group: scroll down to C6000 High Performance DSP
    5. Document Type = Application Notes

I tried Document Title = "HPI EMIF" [no quotes] and go nothing. Then I tried HPI and got a few hits and looked through one that sounded interesting on performance, but it did not have examples like what you want, but I noticed that the titles called HPI "Host Port" in some of the cases. So I tried "host port" [no quotes], and found one about EMIF to HPI. You may find other Application Notes that will also help you, so please use this search capability to look through the many C6000 Application Notes that have been written to help you.

  • Thanks for your help . I had a document about C6000 EMIF to C6000 HPI
but the problem is that it doesn't describe all the pins. I mean that
I don't know how to connect the VCC and GND pins and also I don't know
how to connect the rest of the address and data pins.

  • At this point, I do not know what you are asking for.

You said you do not know how to connect the VCC and GND pins, and that sounds a lot more basic than what you were asking before. Specifically, what do you mean by that? Which VCC and GND pins?

Also, specifically, what do you mean about connecting the "rest of the address and data pins"?

Are you designing a new board?

I can suggest the Hardware Design Guide.
