Hi,experts
We are debugging our TDA4VM custom board. Now we found the board restart at a fixed interval, the interval time is 12'58''. So we suspect a hardware watchdog or PMIC We suspect a hardware watchdog or PMIC malfunction. Can you give us some advice?

Hi,Keerthy
Thanks for you support. We tested only running the MCU domain, and it restart as before. We have not modified firmware of MCU domain. The reset pin of mcu domain and the reset pin of main domain was measured during our testing, and the restart pin did not detect a level change. We also measured the power supply of mcu domain and main domain, it is OK.So we think hardware watchdog or PMIC malfunction, Is there any way to locate the cause of restart?

Zhang
Hello Zhang,
Which PMIC are you using? Is the PMIC watchdog enabled by default?
Regards,
Keerthy
Hi,Keerthy
The PMIC is TPS6594-1213 and TPS6594-1111. We disabled the PMIC watchdog, and test again. It restart as before, The reset PIN of the MCU is detected from high to low.
