The comment here means the data is assumed to be stored in 16bit container, ie 12bit unpacked data stored in 16bit container. But when you use RAW16 in DCC, it thinks that the data is really 16bit, which is not the case. So please raw12 as data size in DCC.

But what is the CSIRX configuration? Are you using RAW16 as input data format or RAW12? If you are using RAW16 as input data format and if you are able to capture the images, then please use raw16 as dataformat even in dcc..

As we can see, the code is already saving two byte per pixel, so no need to change anything in the code for saving raw16 data.

But have you tuned the RAW16 sensor with the correct ISP configuration? Without that, it may not look correct. 

Also where are you viewing saved image? Are you using DCC to view this image? Then have you confirmed DCC correctly about the bit depth?

2.when i use the DCC tuning tools open the RAW16 Image, it's very black, use RAW12 to review is ok. In fact, both the ISP and the camera are configured with RAW16, and only RAW12 is used when opening images,Because the image is too dark to open with RAW16

Can you please analyze the captured raw image and check and confirm it really has raw16 bit data? Which i am doubtful as raw12 bit gives good image..

Since number_of_bytes variable is set to 2, it would dump the complete RAW16 image. Is it possible to share one of this image for the analysis?
