What is SYNCLPLS in DM6437’s VPBE?

Hi,

 

I would like to ask a question on register SYNCLPLS.

 

 

It appears only once on Table 74. Sync Control Register (SYNCCTL) Field Descriptions, spru952a, TMS320DM643x DMP Video Processing Back End (VPBE) User's Guide.

 

The description for SYNCCTL.SYSW says that

Sync Control Register (SYNCCTL) Field Descriptions said:

Output sync select: applicable to standard mode only. Setting the SYSW to 1 in standard mode outputs the pulse width that the SYNCPLS register processes as an output sync signal.

 

Searching for SYNCLPLS in spru952a results in no other occurrence except this one.

Google TI.com results in only 6 entries, all of which are in VPBE documents of DM643x, DM644x, DM3xx processors.

 

So what is SYNCLPLS? Why is has only so little information in the VPBE document as well as throughout ti.com?
