Okay, so there are no plans to integrate this with the regular SysConfig DDR Subsystem Register Configuration as e.g. also used for AM62?

The main reason I am asking is that such spreadsheet solutions usually only work with certain (unknown) specific versions of some proprietary office suits which may or may not be available on our regular Linux-based environments. And yes, it actually does not even open (or just crashes) when trying to open it with LibreOffice on my older Fedora 38 as well as a brand-new installation of Fedora 39 (ツ).

BTW: There is also no mention of AM69 (or J784S4 for that matter) anywhere neither in the application note nor the spreadsheet. Will it really work?

Your point is right. There is no mention, there, which is supposed to be.

But, when it is listed under the product part number ( AM69 )in the product website, It is safe to follow.

The AM69 follow the same J7 memory architecture too and the memory type is "LPDDR4".

I downloaded and tested the spreadsheet. It seems to open properly in Windows-10. 

Give it a try with windows.

Okay, I can confirm that the spreadsheet does indeed work just fine but only when using desktop Office on an actual Windows PC. It does NOT work either on LibreOffice or using Office365 aka cloud Office.

One thing I noticed is that while the latest upstream U-Boot patchset [1] uses exactly the defaults from that latest spreadsheet downstream U-Boot [2] (even the very latest one) uses slightly different register settings. Why exactly is TI not using the latest settings from this spreadsheet? Were they just using an older spreadsheet and so far too lazy to update or is there any special reason for using different settings?
