Good day, colleagues,

My customer is trying to port TI RTOS / SysBIOS on J784S4 SOC. Please could you let me know if TI RTOS / SysBIOS has a support for J784S4.

Unfortunately, I see that there are no applications available with TI RTOS / SysBIOS, Moreover, Build System for TI RTOS / SysBIOS is fully broken / Not available for J784S4. However, I see that all applications support FreeRTOS and also the Build system.

We have TI RTOS/ SysBIOS based application from TDA3XX which we would like to takeover for TDA4. Is there a possibility to do so?

Hi Daria,

We no longer support TI RTOS on J784S4 device. Please ask customer to use FreeRTOS. We have OSAL layer for FreeRTOS, so if customer is using OSAL layer, then migration should be easy, as most of the porting is taken care by OSAL layer.

Hi Brijesh,

As I understood from PDK documentation, FreeRTOS is not supported on A72 core. Do you have any recommendation on what RTOS can be considered for A72 other than Linux and QNX?

Hi Daria,

From SDK perspective, we support only Linux and QNX on A72 cores. I don't have recommendation here.
