HPI 8bit multiplexed mode data read inconsistency

I am using DSP TMS320VC5409.

I have interfaced it over HPI to the MIPS base CPU.  I am using HPI in 8 Bit multiplexed mode. 

I am facing below problem while accessing internal RAM of DSP via HPI, 

There is inconsistency while reading or writing the memory locations of DSP internal RAM. 

While writing data on 0x0080 – 0x7FFF and while reading one particular location multiple times, the data, sometimes, is read from different location.

Can you suggest what could be the problem. Is there any errata issue or work around needed for HPI interface?

 

I will appreciate a quick response over this.

    Here are some answers:


    1. What hardware are you using? Is it a custom board or TI EVM? 

    I am having two custom boards, one with MIPS based processor and other with DSP. Both are externally wired to interface HPI in 8bit multiplexed board

    2. Is this a new project?

    Yes it is

    3. What application area you are working on?

    PCM/ telephony
