TDA4VM: Got overlapping image after surround view stitching

Part Number: TDA4VM

Hi TI Experts,

We created both LENS.bin and CHARTPOS.bin by camera parameters and measuring the calibration chart.

And we run the automatic calibration application.

It seems all 32 corner points were found and CALMAT.bin was generated.

Then we run surround view application with this CALMAT.bin

We got below output, and found that the finder pattern was stitched perfectly, but there is overlapping image on the black mouse near the finder pattern.

Is there any way to improve this?
Or something important was missed on above steps to create bin files?

Thanks a lot.

Regards,

Christopher

  • Hello Christopher,

Thanks for trying the calibration algorithm. Our current implementation presents a good calibration for the 2D surround view but there are improvements to be made. I don't have clear recommendations at this time on how you could improve the stitching so that other items in the scene also blend seamlessly.

I've reported this to our development team, and requested the calibration algorithm be brought up-to-date and hopefully it gets some quality updates along the way.

    Thanks,

    Erick
