AM62A7: Spec Clarify For AM62A ISP performance

Hi, TI Expert

Follow data sheet description,  AM62A ISP support 315 MPixel/s, Up to 5MP @ 60 fps.

Because AM62A CSI2 support virtual channel, it means we can base on FPD-LINK Ser+Des for two camera input.

My question is :

1. Does AM62A ISP support two camera input stream simultaneously? 

I guess possible data path as below, which one is correctly?

(a) Combine two camera image as an input data -> copy this data to shared memory --> ISP copy this data for image processing. 

(b) ISP Processing each camera image separately, it means there are two memory copy stage.

Do we have any documents to explain multi-camera input for ISP processing?

2. What's relationship between  315 MPixel/s & Up to 5MP @ 60 fps.?

I feel a little bit confuse, 

TRMs say VAPC support 4096 pixels/line (8MP frame), but data sheet says it support 5MP.

What's the difference?

    Yes, it can support multiple cameras (2 or more) as long as the total bandwidth is below the maximum.

    (b) ISP Processing each camera image separately, it means there are two memory copy stage.

    ISP processes each camera image separately, but please note that there are no memory copies. The camera writes data to the DDR and ISP reads data from DDR, and there is no memory copy.

    2. What's relationship between  315 MPixel/s & Up to 5MP @ 60 fps.?

    5MP @ 60 fps = 300 MPixel/s which is 315 MPixel/s with a little head room.

    TRMs say VAPC support 4096 pixels/line (8MP frame), but data sheet says it support 5MP.

    8MP can be supported but the frame rate will be limited to 300/8 = 37.5fps. The 5MP @ 60 fps use case is just one typical example.
