AM62A3: MCU SDK queries

Part Number: AM62A3

Hello,

We are planning to have autosar based environment for MCU So, having following queries,

1)Currently we are seeing two SDK's for MCU,

       a. Linux based

       b.Windows based

Could you please confirm, which SDK is better to use for the Autosar based environment whether Linux based or Windows based ?

2)We have got MCAL for above part number from TI, then, could you please suggest steps for integrating Autosar components (MCAL,BSW,Autosar OS) into existing freeRTOS based SDK?

Regards,

Akshay

  • Hello TI team, could you please respond to this query ?

  • Hello Vivek and Akshay,

Apologies for the delay in getting back, this seems to have slipped through the cracks.

Could you please confirm, which SDK is better to use for the Autosar based environment whether Linux based or Windows based ?

Assuming you are referring to the MCU+SDK for AM62A - https://www.ti.com/tool/download/MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM62A, the SDK contents of both the installers are exactly the same, and only the installer itself is different. Please choose according to the development environment used for your project.

2)We have got MCAL for above part number from TI, then, could you please suggest steps for integrating Autosar components (MCAL,BSW,Autosar OS) into existing freeRTOS based SDK?

The MCU+SDK is a freeRTOS based SDK provided for development on the MCU R5 core. This is a parallel SDK available in addition to the MCAL based SDK for MCU R5. Customers can choose either the Free-RTOS based MCU+SDK or the MCAL/Autosar solution depending on their safety and other usecase requirements.

TI and customers works with various 3P Autosar vendors for integration of the MCAL TI SDK into Autosar OS.

Please let me know if you have any additional queries.

    Regards,
    Krithika
