OMAPL138B-EP: WARNING: --speculate_unknown_loads requested

Hello everyone!

I have an OMAPL138 SoC.

For the C6000 DSP, using the TI v7.4.24 compiler, I am using the flag --speculate_unknown_loads, which in turn creates an avalanche of warnings like this:

>> WARNING: --speculate_unknown_loads requested.  Assembly file contains warnings
            for all speculated loads with unbounded address ranges.
            Make sure that these loads are safe to speculate!!

I am aware of the consequences of this flag, so I would like to suppress the warning, as it creates a lot of noise, and other warnings may keep unnoticed.

Normally I would suppress a warning by its warning ID. Interestingly enough it seems there is no warning ID associated with it, even though I build with -pden

Can you please help me find a way to disable/suppress this warning?

I contacted others on my team to learn the details of --speculate_unknown_loads. I have not heard back from them yet. I'll get back to you tomorrow.

Hi George,

Thanks for the feedback.

For the late comers an additional info:

If I set that all warnings should be errors, then this warning does not cause an error.

So after fixing all warnings in the project and enabling the error escalation I can see easily if one additional "standard compiler" (with error ID and whatnot) warning popped up, as that immediately breaks the build.
