Here is a summary of the issue:
1. The DM365 kit shipped with the old software package CD (and image burnt into flash). It doesn't appear to boot properly from the NAND (stopped with the message "kernel panic") .
2. Downloaded the latest DVSDK and created an SD card in order to try boot from (SD/tftp/NFS). After power-up, the board loads the kernel image twice and then stops with the following messages printed:
"Starting kernel ...
Uncompressing Linux............................................................................................................................................
Done, booting the kernel."
It hangs after that.
3. It can boot from the SD card if the NAND flash chip is removed from the socket.
Has anyone experienced
a similar problem? Any ideas?
