AM5748: Having issues with McASP Tx interrupts

Hi,

I have explained the issue below and have attached detailed report along with this thread. PFA 

Problem statement

We are using McASP in AM5748 processor for one of our projects to transfer digital data. We are using two McASP one for transmission and one for reception (McASP 2 – Rx, McASP 7 – Tx). McASP is running in asynchronous mode with external clock and frame sync. EDMA interrupts are enabled for both the McASP for every 240 words and word size is 32 bits.

When we run the application McASP is getting configured successfully. We are getting interrupts from both McASP. Rx interrupts are being received at expected intervals, but Tx interrupts are not being received within expected interval in few boards. Periodicity of the Tx interrupts is varying across the boards.

 

Questions:

  • Can you give us your thoughts on why the interrupts are inconsistence?
  • Can you confirm if McASP pinmux and configurations are fine?
  • Can we use McASP 7 for Tx with 168 kHz, 336 kHz, and 672 kHz of frame sync?
  • Is the above shown images are fine for frame sync and clock?
