Hello Erick Narvaez,

In our solution, TDA4AL needs to provide 500KHz clock for 3*USS chips (E521.42).

The required tolerance is no less than 4% according to E521.42.

We want to use eHRPWM module of TDA4A low to output such clock.

Please help check below questions:

1. Is eHRPWM avaliable or possible to meet requirement?

2. Could we use one eHRPOWM port to feed 3 E521.42 chips? What's the driving strength?

Yes, the eHRPWM can meet the tolerance requirement. However, it is recommended that you perform an IBIS simulation to answer the question about driving multiple loads.

If working in eHRPWM mode, does that mean the pin could output max 100mA current without damage?

I need understand the allowed maximum output current of TDA4AL.

Please refer to the I_OL and I_OHspecifications for the datasheet LVCMOS Electrical Characteristics table. The specs show what current can be output while maintaining the proper V_OL and V_OL levels.

Below table is copied from TDA4AL datasheet.

Seems the table only points out the minimum current, or it means the maximum current ability?

Current larger than the MIN cannot be guaranteed across all conditions while maintaining the proper V_OL and V_OL levels. i.e. all units operating within datasheet-defined conditions will be able to drive at least the MIN current.
