The wince system halt on the AM3517

Hi,

I'm using the TI official A8 demo, I found some problem when the wince starts. It is likely the system i2c driver don't access device infor? then the system halt,If I just need it run normal,How to do for it? thanks.

Hi,

I have seen this error on OMAP3530. Basically you have to insert the SOM properly I guess.

What is The "SOM"? Is it kernel pcb(AM3517+DDR+NANDFLASH...)? The Jacks are loose?

Hi,

We used OMAP3530 EVM from Mistral. It has a peripheral board and Processor Module (on it Processor, DDR and NAND are present). On main all peripheral HW components are placed. See if this HW is also something similar to that.

I have tried it in your way again and again, but can't solve the problem. if I set the system date (access RTC ) when the system is running normal,before halt. then the system will be running well. so I think the other resultes in system halt.

Do you see this on more than one setup? Also, which silicon rev are you using? (the eboot log on serial port should tell you that or use the release notes and serial number on your silicon to deternine it). If you are not already using PG 1.1 silicon, can you try using that and see if you get the same errors?

The attachment is the wince start log. it say the Ti Am3517 version is 0x0 (TI AM3517 Version 0x0 (Hawkeye 0xb868 / manufacturer ID 0x17)). Need I repalce the current version AM3517 with new version to solve the problem?
