Q1. Is there any proper documentation available for porting U-Boot to a custom SoM for the AM62x Processor, similar to the documentation for porting U-Boot for the AM335?

Q2. Which specific K3 DTS files are needed for basic image building in AM62x?

Yes, we do have documentation to port U-boot to custom hardware. For more info, please refer Porting Linux to Custom Hardware.
