Hi, I'm WOONG HEE KO.

I have a problem with IPC of MCU+SDK 09.01.00.

In this version, the enviorment recommend that the user installs and uses sysconfig 1.18 and ccs 12.5. So I have installed those utils.

problem: auto-generated file('ti_drivers_config') by IPC has a problem as below.

The example ($SDK_ROOT\examples\drivers\ipc\ipc_rpmsg_echo\am64x-evm\r5fss0-0_freertos) has a same problem.

My questions:

1) I can't modify auto-generated file by using ipc driver, so how to fix it?

2) The problem is a bug or Should I change the settings of sysconfig?

3) I used ind_comms_sdk_am64x_09_00_00_03 and mcu_plus_sdk_am64x_09_01_00_41 both. It's ok to I used them?

Hello Tony,

The above issue is coming because IPC examples now cannot be build for individual cores. They should be built as a system project.

It's because data from all Sysconfig core contexts are used while generating code.

Can you please try once building the IPC system project instead of building IPC example for a single core. Please let me know if this works.

I think .xdt file should be modified.

trying once building the IPC system project is timeless.

on SDK08.06, there is no same problem with this ticket.

Sorry, I don't understand the above comment. Do you mean building the IPC as system project is a time consuming process?

The above changes done in the SDK v09.01 is necessary to fix bugs in IPC example.

I tried to use two more cores with ipc, but they didn't work.

SDK 09.01 has a bug with ipc created by xdt.

should I just wait for bug fix?

As in my earlier reply, I already mention that in SDK v09.01 IPC examples can not be build for individual cores. It can only be build using the system project.

Please try to build the system project found at path ${MCU+SDK}\examples\drivers\ipc\ipc_rpmsg_echo\am64x-evm\system_freertos_nortos.

You need to build the project for all cores because data from all Sysconfig core contexts are used while generating code.

You can later on delete or choose not to use the binaries for those cores which are not being used.

So once I should build all project then I will able to delete not used cores on sysconfig? or on running binary as modifying code?

In order to add and remove cores to use IPC RPMsg in sysconfig, do I need to build the whole system project and then remove them?

Or do I need to build a system project and then set up an IPC that I don't want to use in code?

Apologies for my previous reply, I have interpreted the question incorrectly.

Yes you can disable the IPC RPMsg for the core not used. Disable the IPC RPMsg in all projects for the core you don't want to use in IPC communication. After disabling the IPC from all project for a particular core, you can remove that core from system_freertos_nortos project's system.xml file.
