SK-AM62A-LP: not able to install gtk in local.conf

Hello,

I am trying to install gtksink in local.conf sdk9.0 but not able to get the packages

I have followed this below link

PACKAGECONFIG_append_pn-gstreamer1.0-plugins-good = " gtk" when i try this i got this error

ERROR: Variable PACKAGECONFIG_append_pn-gstreamer1.0-plugins-good file:conf/local.conf line: 152 contains an operation using the old override syntax. Please convert this layer/metadata before attempting to use with a newer bitbake.

if i use PACKAGECONFIG:append_pn-gstreamer1.0-plugins-good = " gtk" this one
i didn't get the error but nothing is provided gtksink

gst-inspect-1.0 gtksink

With our Yocto Kirstone-based SDK v9.x the override syntax is different, as indicated in the error message you got. Generally the change is that the ':' character replaces the use of '_' to refer to an override, so the addition you made to local.conf would need to get updated accordingly. Let me try out of this solves the specific issue you got by kicking off a build here.

I am not depending on gtksink only but many packages need to be installed like x264enc and etc,

Can you try replacing the second '_' with a colon too. If you search the source tree you can see how this is done there actually...

yes. it worked i can able to add gtk in arago.conf but i am trying to add x264 in same path not helping

What exactly are you trying to do now? Is this another gtk plugin? I'm not familiar with this part of userspace.

(you'll need to update the syntax again to use ":" instead of "_").

I've already attempted this solution and added in PACKAGECONFIG_append_pn-gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly = " x264" in local.conf but didn't work

If you use underscores for sure it won't work. As per earlier discussion you need to use colons.
