SK-AM64B: Not able to boot from SD card after change in EEPROM

Hello,

I am using sk-am64B EVM, I was testing EEPROM with i2cget and i2cset command, after reboot i am getting below logs and stuck on that,

U-Boot SPL 2023.04-00001-g4446269d4e-dirty (Dec 29 2023 - 18:49:07 +0530)
EEPROM not available at 0x50, trying to read at 0x51
Reading on-board EEPROM at 0x51 failed -1
Resetting on cold boot to workaround ErrataID:i2331
Please resend tiboot3.bin in case of UART/DFU boot
resetting ...

Hello,
1/. Which SDK version? it looks like SDK 9.0?
2/. What I2C operations were executed on EEPROM on your board?

Thank you for the response.

1. Yes, I am using SDK v9.0.0.3.

2. I ran the following command,

i2cset -y 0 0x51 0x00 0x00 0x01 0x02 0x03 i

i2cset -y 0 0x51 0x00 0x0a 0xFF 0xFE 0xFD i

i2cset -y 0 0x51 0x00 0x00

i2cget -y 0 0x51

Hello,
One options is updating EEPROM with "i2c..." cmd once boots to u-boot prompt.
But I'm not aware of easy option to refresh EEPROM for your case.

My board became stopped at SPL initial stack usage 13376 bytes point and does not get Trying to boot from MMC2 print and moreover.

Hello,
Some options you can try out on your own is adding I2C code in early r5-spl code (before EEPROM reading) to reprogram EEPROM.

1. Is this stuck issue happening because of EEPROM only?

2. How can I boot my custom board if EEPROM not configured?

We connected the I2C0 (non-working EVM) to the I2C2 (new EVM) using another SK-EVM. We flashed the EEPROM using the new EVM, which allows me to get back my non-working EVM.
