Hi,

- Is there another way to get to the RTSC tools rather than CCS_Debug->Tools->RTSC Tools->Platform->Edit/View?

- Is there a way to set the MAR registers graphically?

- Is there a way to select the Memory Sections placement graphically (not just the Code Memory/DataMemory and Stack Memory)?

That's how you create your own RTSC platform using the Platform Wizard. Is that what you are trying to do? If yes, then there is no other path to the Platform Wizard. BTW, you don't have to be in the Debug Perspective to use the Platform Wizard. You can select Tools from the menu bar in any perspective and follow the same steps to get to the Platform Wizard.

There is a placeholder for that functionality. In Xgconf, when you click on Program, and then select View, you can edit various properties of Program. However, there is a bug (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=345297) that currently prevents editing sectMap. The bug is scheduled to be fixed for the next XDCtools release - 3.23.

- How can I get to the platform edit/view from the Edit window? I couldn't locate it, probably I can use the using the Xgconf & program,

- Is there a way to set the MAR registers graphically?

Select Tools from the menu bar. Then, in the drop-down menu, select RTSC Tools->Platform->Edit/View.

I don't know much about the MAR registers, I think Judah will be able to answer that.

Sasha,

There is no tool on the edit menu bar, only on the debug window, can I add the tools to the menu bar of the Edit window?

This is what I have in CCS. Don't you have Tools on your menu bar?

HR,

First you need to navigate to the Cache module and right click and select "Use Cache".

Once you do that, you should be able to set the MAR register masks.

I had no idea that the menu bar is configurable. But, I found that if you go Window->Customize Perspective ..., while you are in CCS Edit perspective, you'll get a window with a tab Menu Visibility. There, you can select Tools to show up in your Edit perspective menu bar.

OK, I used the Memory Management->cache and not the Target Specific Support->C64P->Cache, what should be the different between them?

HR,

I think the Memory Management->cache is the generic hal/Cache module. That one doesn't have MAR registers because MAR registers are target specific.
