Iam trying to identify processor + evaluation platform for 3d vision processing application. Have to decide on a development setup which is flexible enough to allow
- dual camera support (synchronous real time capture)
- Availability/Interface option to FPGA development boards.
-power enough to address the stereo processing needs.
Have the following queries to be addressed.
1) Understand 3d vision processing very similar to machine vision and hence C6A816x(http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tms320c6a8168.html?qgpn=tms320c6a8168) processor is suggested. Are there any other suggestions wrt to processor selection?
2) Now tmdxevm8168-(http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tmdxevm8168.html)being the evaluation board for the processor of interest, would like to know suggested FPGA development boards to satisfy co-processing requirements (off-loading complex computations-if required)
I see that OMAPL138 +Spartan 6 Co-processing development kits available in market. But was not able to find C6A816x + FPGA co-processing solutions in market. Are there any suggested FPGA development boards with the EVM?
3) Interface options to dual cameras, for simultaneous real time video processing and suggested camera boards for the EVM.
4) In the case of DM8168, does TI provide low level access to the HD Video Coprocessor (HDVICP 2.0) co processor for customization or only the access at decoder level is provided?
