TIWI-R2 for Centaurus

Hello,

Is there a TIWI-R2 WiFi option for the Centaurus EVM?

Patrick

  • Patrick,

We do not currently have a daughter card for this module, but you could potentially connect one directly to the EVM through the MMC/serial ports.

I don't know what the availability of drivers is though, but they do exist for other TI devices/Linux builds so might not be too much trouble to use.

  • Hi, Patrick,

Actually there ---IS--- a daughter card that will work with the Centraurs board (assuming we're talking about the DM814x EVM from Mistral, part number TMDXEVM8148  http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdxevm8148  .

The TMDXEVM8148 expansion board (bundled with the EVM) has a COM7 connector on it, which is compatible with LSR's TiWi COM6L daughter card.  What this means from a hardware perspective is that you can purchase a COM6L TiWi daughter card and plug it in to the COM7 connector.

TiWi COM6L boards are available from SV Tronics, link here:  http://www.svtronics.com/products/12-blaze-com6l-upgrade-kit

Thank you for your interest in TiWi!

    Regards,
