How does one flush the UPP Rx FIFO without restarting the whole system?

Fred,

I did some checking on this, but to the best of my knowledge there is no way to explicitly flush the uPP receive FIFO during normal operation. Your best option may well be to reset the peripheral using UPPCR.SWRST.

Fred,

This is unlikely to change in future revisions of OMAP-L138 or C6748. It is possible that it will change in future devices that include the uPP peripheral.
