To program: TMS5701114

Dear Support team

I am now designing a test station to program part: TMS5701114 on panel form consist of 2 identical boards.

I have some questions need your help to advise, please.

1. What should be a programmer/Hardware connection? XDS100 or XDS200 or?

2. since there are 2 identical boards on fixture so shall need to install 2x or 1x hardware programmmer with multiplexing?

3. In case 2 programmers can be installed then how to distinglish them?

4. In case 2 programmers can be installed then can we programm parallely?

The following external emulators are supported by TMS570 devices

1. xds100V2/v3

2. xds110

TMDSEMU110-U Debug probe | TI.com

3. xds2xx

TMDSEMU200-U Debug probe | TI.com

4. xds560

TMDSEMU560V2STM-U Debug probe | TI.com

If you use TI code composer studio, the XDS560V2, XDS200 are good choice.

I don't understand this question clearly, i mean if you have two identical boards means they should have two different JTAG ports right. So you can connect the JTAG to the corresponding port and can program independently right?

For #2, yes, there are 2 identical boards need to be programmed and I am planning to have individual programmer for each board so meaning to say there will be two programmers. By the way, for above available emulators, can we do programming parallelly? I meant program board #1 and #2 at the same time. Kindly advise. Appreciate your support.

Apologies for the delay.

It is not possible to program both boards at the same time. We have to program them one after another only.
