TDA4VP-Q1: Can R5 control DSS/eDP in TDA4VP if A72 Linux enables USB3.0?

Part Number: TDA4VP-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VL

Hi

I have the same question as https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1285987/tda4al-q1-can-r5-control-dss-edp-in-tda4al-if-a72-linux-enables-usb3-0

However, we're using TDA4VP.

Checking https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-linux-j784s4/latest/exports/docs/linux/Foundational_Components/Kernel/Kernel_Drivers/SERDES/SERDES.html

It didn't mention the same software limitation in J721S2:

  • Serdes can not be shared between RTOS and linux (SW limitation). Currently all configuration for serdes sharing is done in linux driver, if serdes is used in RTOS running in mcu cores it can not be used in linux

I would like to know if the above limitation also apply on TDA4VP? or TDA4AL (J721S2 family) only?
