Part Number: TDA4VM
Dear exprets,
I can encode 2k images (2560X1440) by modifying some configuration of linux sdk, but when it is set to 4K size, it cannot be encoded. How to modify to support 4k image encoding?
Regards,
Xin

Hi experts,
linux sdk I changed the following file content,
sources/meta-/recipes-oss/kernel/drivers/media/platform/vxe-vxd/encoder/topaz_api.c
Hi,
In the datasheet, in Section 1 Features under Video acceleration:

4k encoding is not supported. You can set those parameters for 4k but the timing requirements won't be met because the CODEC is not equipped to handle that high of a resolution.
Thank you,

Hi Xin,
The J721e SOC's CODEC IP does not support 4K encode. The max encoding resolution is one 1920x1080p stream, as per the datasheet (Section 1 Features under Video Acceleration) I posted in the previous reply.
Here is the link to the datasheet: https://www.ti.com/document-viewer/tda4vm/datasheet
