AM62A3-Q1: ARM A53 software support confirm

Dear Team,

Hope you are doing well!

Recently our customer is evaluating AM62A in their new project.

They want to confirm whether our AM62A could support run RTOS or run software directly without other system like Linux.

Could you please help me to confirm?

Hello Xenon,

Yes, you can run freeRTOS or baremetal (no-RTOS) on AM62A. Please refer to https://www.ti.com/tool/PROCESSOR-SDK-AM62A#downloads and find MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM62A. Please also take a look at the MCU-PLUS-SDK documentation.

I would recommend further understanding the use-case and ensuring that you refer to software buildsheet to understand what features are offered on A53. The offering may not be complete for all use-cases and system scenarios.

There are no plans to many features beyond what we have on A53 Free RTOS beyond what you see.

The customer wants to use our MPU in laser radar project.

They will use A53 core to do algorithm and will not use Linux system.

Thus, they ask me whether our AM62x can support running algorithm without system.
