S2A9229 or 654723-1

Hi guys,

I got a request from one of my clients. He is looking for an old item from National Semiconductor.
I have a picture of the front and the back of the IC.

In theory the part number shoud be: "654723-1", however the IC has marked this:

"S2A9229

654723-1"

I have to say that after the "S2A9229" there is an extra character which is the uppercase delta (D) using Symbol font.

I need to find ideally 100pcs, but even only 1pcs would be good too.  

          

     

I tried to get a Datasheet but the item is so old that I couldn't find any info. I do not even sorted out what it is (OPAMP? uController? Memory? ... No idea.

Because you (TEXAS INSTRUMENTS) acquired NSC several years ago, maybe (I hope!) you could help me.

    Thanks for posting on E2E. An initial search for this device has come up empty, and I'm still searching.  I'll get back to you by end-of-week Jan 26 with any info I can find.   Also, how do you know this is an NSC device?  You mentioned a picture, if you could reply with the topside picture, that might be helpful. 

    Also wondering why you think the part number should be "654723-1"?

    What product is it used in?

    Hello Francesc, 

    Our NSC expert has confirmed that this was not a standard NSC IC, rather, a custom device, perhaps manufactured in the wafer fab using files provided by the designer.  Since it was not an NSC design, no design information would have been retained.  

    If I find any other info on this, I will surely post it here, but at this point, no other info available.
