Are there transcoding and DeInterlacing performance/benchmark numbers for the DM8168?
Hi,
We have rough figures for the de-Interlacer path
"Single Ch 720x240(interlaced) YUV420 => dual scaled to 360x240(de-Interlaced and scaled) YUYV422 via WB0 and 720x480(deinterlaced and non-scaled) YUV420 via VIP0" --> This can be done for almost 600-620 FPS with CPU load as almost 10%. Again this data is with only de-Interlacer running in entire system.

Hi,
Do you have some video examples showing the initial interlaced video and the de-interlaced results?
If you give me an e-mail address I can invite you to Dropbox where I have test video sequences.

Hi,
I have forwarded your query to concerned team. We do have demo where we deInterlace the incoming stream which is 1080i60 --> deInterlace --> display.

We have a capture_encode example which by default takes progressive capture by default. You can modify this example to have interlaced capture. You can look at this post on how to do this:

Hi, Hardik Shah
Could you send the deInterlacing demo to me? Here is my e-mail:yzy@mail.ustc.edu.cn
Thanks
Hi,
This demo runs on Media controller directly with JTAG connected. This is under NDA and cannot be share. Its kind of our test application. What exactly are you looking for?
