AM4378: IBIS

Part Number: AM4378

Hello,

We are doing SI analysis for DDR3L using sprm636a IBIS model. We need receiver thresholds parameters Tslew_ac, Vth, Vth_max, Vth_min, Vinh_ac, Vinh_dc, Vinl_ac & Vinl_dc for AM4378 DDR3L interface pins.

In IBIS model for 1.35V, Vinl & Vinh mentioned as 0.575 & 0.775. But as per datasheet DDR_VREF+0.09 & DDR_VREF+0.09. So, it will be as 0.585 & 0.765. Which value is correct?

If model values are wrong, what other values will get effect?

If you have new model revision, can you please update us.

Thanks & Regards,

Bala

  • Hello Bala,

    Thank you for the query.

I suspect the data sheet value should be the right value.

Let me check with the simulation expert and comeback.

  • Hello Bala,

Please refer inputs from the expert.

WRT the Vinh/VInl values, the datasheet should be the correct reference. I think we should apply the same to AM4378 as well.

We don’t have any revised IBIS models. What we have is the latest. It shouldn’t impact simulation since the I-V curves are the ones used by the simulator and Vinh/Vinl values are for information only.

  • Hello Sreenivasa,

    Can you provide receiver thresholds parameters Tslew_ac, Vth, Vth_max, Vth_min, Vinh_ac, Vinh_dc, Vinl_ac, Vinl_dc, Threshold_sensitivity & Reference_supply for AM4378 DDR3L interface pins for model_1091 to model_1156.

    Regards,

    Bala

  • Hello Bala,

    Thank you.

As mentioned above, the model on TI.com is all we have. You might want to refer to the data sheet for any available information.

Please elaborate your requirement and if you are facing any issue.

As you may be aware this is a matured processor, and we may have limited information out of what we have in the model and the data sheet.

    Regards,

    Sreenivasa
