Hi,

I am craeting this thread to get recommendation for an application processor for a custom embedded design we are working on. The device is a custom hardware with CCTV surveillance capability.
We would be streaming about 1080p30 camera stream, on demand. Remainder of the tasks would be pretty light weight, ad hoc / periodic ethernet communication (light weight) and BLE communication etc.
The main idea is to be a a lost cost processor with 7+ year longevity support. Following are the main features required. The device will be mains powered so no low power requirement of such. We would not do AI/ML on the video stream on the edge.

• H.264 streaming, Camera interface (MIPI CSI)
• Ethernet
• Yocto Linux
• BLE
• Low Cost
• Longevity support (5-7+ years)

Looking forward for recommendations from TI experts.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

We do have a wide and scalable range of TI AM6XX processors SOCs from both Sitara and Jacinto BUs that could possibly fit the customer needs of a 1080p camera over CSIRX with video stream encoded and transfer it to network our the wired ethernet. TI does work with SOM vendor who has solution on our SOCs and can share details.

With those limited known requirements, we definitely have a few SoC's that fit, plus SOM vendor partners for each. We can provide contact info for those vendors as needed.
