TDA4VM: Latest QNX7.1 causing issue in network connection

Hi,

Can you please provide details on issue being seen?

The TI SDK QNX releases are tested against a particular set of deliverables from QNX.  The QNX SDP 7.1 dependencies are listed in the TI SDK release notes.  For TI SDK 8.2, reference the below:

Hi,

We tried to configure Ethernet using below script but it is failed with below errors and couldn't do SSH login further.

DHCP ip is not getting assigned and ping to another node is not happening.

Same issue is not observed when testing with old SDP 7.1.

If the above script is separated into individual steps, at what point does the SCI error occur?

For example, old SDP7.1 contains python3.8 whereas new SDP7.1 comes with python3.11.

One more update:

 Latest SDP7.1 is causing issue in network connection. It looks like compatibility issue. 
   i)  If we use latest SDP with latest SDK_09 available from TI website, issue is not observed.
   ii) If we use latest SDP with existing SDK_08, then issue is observed. 
       Work around: In this scenario, copied io_pkt_v6_hc from old SDP and replaced with latest SDP. Issue is not observed.

Please suggest to fix this issue.

Can you please provide what the build Id / Package Id / Package Version of the "old SDP 7.1" and "new SDP 7.1".  If TI needs to discuss with QNX, these details are required.

In parallel TI is looking into this.

We couldn't install old SDP which was downloaded from artifactory, so shared possible package info for that.

And for latest SDP shared complete package info.

BTW, Have you reported this issue to Blackberry QNX? What is their response?

What is the artifactory that is being referred to above? Are we supposed to download the SDP 7.1 package from QNX software center?

We have reported this issue to QNX. But we haven't received solution for that.

Please check SDP7.1 which can be downloaded from QNX software center.

Ok, thanks for confirming. 

It will take a few days for us to see if can reproduce the issue you are reporting on 8.2. We will get back if we need any extra info from you.

Also, in the meanwhile, continue to check with Blackberry QNX on why there is incompatibility b/n old component they release and the new one and check if there is any behavior change in their io-pkt network stack in the newer versions of their network libraries.

One update: If we use SDK8.2 + latest SDP7.1 + old SDP's io-pkt-v6-hc network manager, then issue is not observed. As you stated here, looks like there is some update happened in io-pkt network lib.

We will keep checking with QNX as well.

This is good info and clearly calls out that the issue need to be answered by QNX.

But, we will still try to reproduce this and see if we have some feedback/solution. Will get back in 2-3 days.
