AM623: failure rates

Part Number: AM623
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM625-Q1, AM620-Q1

Good day, colleagues,

Do we have failure rates analysis for AM623 device according to EN ISO 61508-x?

  • To what extent is the AM623 functionally different from the qualified devices AM625-Q1 or AM620-Q1?
    • In particular with regard to the possibility of achieving the corresponding diagnostic coverage as described in the Safety_Manual.
  • Are the die of AM623 identical to the die of AM625-Q1 or AM620-Q1?
  • To what extent are the failure rates from the FMEDA (draft) also applicable to the AM623?
  • Does the different package have an influence on the failure rates?
    • If there is an influence, can you specify a factor with which margin on the failure rates for the package this could be compensated for?
  • Do you know of any applications where the AM623 has been used for SIL applications or can you make any recommendations?
  • Is the M4G capable to run the Software Diagnostics Library (SDL)?

Thank you,

Daria

  • Hello,

We are currently supporting safety certification only on the AM62Q parts which are the 17x17 AEC-Q100 parts. Safety certification will only apply to these parts.

AM62Q will be certified for ASIL-B for ISO-26262 and IEC 61508 SIL-2 for random fault capability.

AM62 can be targeted for industrial applications needing vision processing. What is your intended application?

Yes the M4 is capable to run  SDL.
