AMIC110: sleep mode in RTOS/barametal software

Genius 3186 points
Part Number: AMIC110

Hi

May I heva question about AMIC110 sleepmode?

In DS there are some sleepmode.

However in this topic says "Baremetal/RTOS doesn't support any low power mode."

https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/1311665/amic110-amic110-wake-up-capacity

Is this mean AMIC110 could not use Low power mode by hardware?

Or means there is no sample program but we could use some power mode by reading the TRM and manipulating the associated registers?

Thanks,

GR

  • Correct, there is no software for power management in bare metal/RTOS and in general we have stopped supporting  TI RTOS across all of our product families.

If this is a new design, then we recommend evaluating AM243x family of devices.

  • Hi Mukul,

    Thanks for your information.

    I understand it.

If this is a new design, then we recommend evaluating AM243x family of devices.

My customer select AMIC110 by cost.

I suggested AM243x for best support but it was expensive.

The best way is TI develop and release entry grade new line SoC that have ARM Cortex-A core, have capacity (ex. cost) to replace AM335x AM437x.

    Best regards,
