1.BAM traffic shaping at switch side.

2.As per the TI suggested document followed for the test. but , limit the traffic in the host port so that BAM traffic toward NAD is low

3.Configured the switch in BAM side and configured the vlans in PC.

4.We have verified the scenario with following document provided by the TI mentioned above, as we can see in the results, we are not able to achieve the expected results.

5.Can you please let us know the why we are not able to achieve the expected results ?.

6.Please find the tested scenarios in the below attachments.

Hi Tanmay,

We're currently trying to achieve Rate-limiting Switch Egress on J7VCL(BAM), specifically dealing with data sent from AM64-SK(pc) to AM625-SK(NAD) via the J7VCL(BAM) switch.

In a earlier test, Navnit and Sidharth found that the difference in results between TI's setup and LG's setup boiled down to Flow Control configurations. In TI's SDK, Flow Control is on by default for all interfaces, while in LG's setup, it's turned off for both socnet0 (BAM to PC) and socnet1 (BAM to NAD).After enabling Flow Control on socnet0, LG successfully reproduced the results documented by TI.

I've tried a similar test with Flow Control on Socnet0, but unfortunately, we didn't see the expected results. Any thoughts or suggestions on this would be really helpful.

This is not an issue on the TI. As you said earlier, LG was able to reproduce the results.

There must be some changes if you are not able to reproduce this. Can you find out which changes are there and see if you can mitigate them.

Hi Tanmay,

Let me clarify this part and get back to you in detail. It was tested last year along with TI in evaluation board . However, seems not working on ICON. Let me check in detail and get back to you on this
