DM816x Video Encoder Documentation

Can anyone point me to the video encoder documentation for the DM816x?

I am working with the OMTB demo on the eval board and would like have more information about what settings are available in the Venc. For example choosing between CBR and VBR, or changing the I-Frame distributions etc.

I have the OMX user guide which has some information. But there must be more complete documentation somewhere?

Under the Codec directory, there is a folder named docs. In this folder there is a userguide.pdf document for this codec.

Eric,

Thanks for your support. Do mind providing a path? I cant seem to locate the document you are referencing. I am using EZDSK 5_01_01_80, and in the main directory i have the following folder "codec-engine_3_21_00_13_eng". Within that is a docs directory. However, it only contains the following pdf "CodecEngine_AlgorithmCreator_UserGuide.pdf"

Any thoughts?

There are no real codec source code under the codec-engine folder after install the EZSDK, you can download the codec for DM8168 from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/codecs/HDVICP2/index_FDS.html
